O'Kelly to lead Harsco Infrastructure Europe

Harsco has appointed Paul O’Kelly to head up its European Infrastructure business, which largely comprises the scaffold and formwork operations of SGB and Hünnebeck.

The move comes as the company moves towards the adoption of the Harsco identity across all three of its main scaffold businesses – SGB, Hünnebeck and Patent.

O’Kelly, 51, joins Harsco from his position as managing director of the Elliott Group, the UK based portable accommodation business. Prior to joining Elliot he served as president of an industrial business group of Sterling Fluid Systems, a leading producer of engineered systems for the process industries.

Harsco chief executive Salvatore D. Fazzolari said: “The European region remains a core component of Harsco’s global footprint and a vital contributor to our recovery expectations from the Harsco Infrastructure business. Paul’s appointment continues our strategic unification and global alignment of this business into a more streamlined, efficient, cost effective, disciplined and market-focused global platform with an increasing emphasis in the recurring industrial maintenance and infrastructure construction sectors.”
