RSC looses chief financial officer

David Mathieson, the chief financial officer of US Rental company RSC, has resigned to pursue other opportunities. He has already departed but will be available as required for transition matters.

Patricia Chiodo, currently the company's vice president and controller, will take over the role while the Company conducts a search for a successor.

RSC chief executive, Erik Olsson, said: "I'd like to thank David for his contributions to RSC, including his assistance on several important debt offerings and cost reduction efforts that helped the Company effectively navigate through the recent difficult economic environment. With our business performing in line with the guidance we provided in February and the environment recovering as anticipated, the Company is positioned to emerge from the recession with the strongest possible team."
