High riding at speed

Earlier this week a street lighting technician was spotted riding in the elevated bucket of a truck mounted lift as it travelled down a main road in the town of Huelva, just west of Seville in Southern Spain.

The incident was captured on video by a biker, who then posted it on the Spanish social media network SocialDrive.

As one person said: “Perhaps the machine was broken/stuck, and they were driving back to depot?” Not that this would make it any safer or a more intelligent thing to do. One has to wonder what sort of work at height training the team had received.


What possessed them to think that this was a sensible thing to do is anyone’s guess. Definitely one for our Death Wish Series.
