Banjo crane man
When Bill Ellis of UK crane rental company Ellis Crane hire arrived on the Liebherr stand at Bauma for the official hand over of a new 40 tonne LTM 1040-2.1All Terrain crane due for delivery next year, it took very little encouragement for him to bring out his banjo. He says he was asked to provide a mini concert/banjo solo under the 2,500 tonne hook block on the stand.
Ellis, who will be 80 next Wednesday, suggested he was obliged to play. Quite honestly it does not take too much to persuade him, show a mere modicum of interest and he will whip out his banjo and start playing.
Which is exactly what he did last week.

Bill Ellis entertains at Bauma
Ellis plays with the B Flats, a local banjo and ukulele band in the Gloucester region and suggested we book them to play at the evening party at Vertikal Days next year. We said yes of course - after all how could we refuse?

Red - likewise I fail to understand why some people give a thumbs down for a story that could only be positive.
VertiKal: how about you have a rule such that if anyone wants to give a thumbs down they can only do so if they explain why they disagree/dislike a story?

Hope I have as good an attitude when I'm 80.
Thumbs down to the boors who gave these comments a thumbs down.
