Bronto Vs Ruthmann at the Open
The British Open Golf championship kicked off yesterday at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Course in Lancashire, England, yesterday, after fears about the weather and questions regarding the condition of the ‘Rough’ which is said to be virtually unplayable due to the exceptionally wet summer leaving them with jungle like vegetation.

The Open 2012 and a line of truck mounts - and the weather turned out OK
As is usual these truck mounted lifts were out in force, with Nationwide Platforms providing the majority, followed by AA Access.
Nationwide has the following kit on site:
Two 58 metre - Ruthmann T580s
Three 37 metre Ruthmann T370
One 46 metre Bronto S46XDT
One 37 metre Bronto S37XDT
And one 35 metre Bronto S35MDT
Oh and a 14 metre Land Rover mounted lift.
AA Access has
One 70 metre Bronto 70XDT,
One 52 metre Bronto 52XDT
And one 46 mere 46XDT
We make that a dozen lifts on duty of which there are six Bronto and five Ruthmann, if our correspondent has his numbers right. An excellent turnout by anyone’s measure.

I forgot to add that 3 of these units are also in the TV compound which is not accessible to the general public so your correspondent an even better job than I first thought!

Your correspendent is indeed correct with his numbers and his in depth knowledge of the equipment at The Open 2012. The question has to be if they went to see the finest Golf tournament in the world or look at truck mounted aerial platforms...it would appear to be the latter if they managed to harvest that level of information!
