The Highway Plant team celbrates

The company pioneered the use of access platforms in Northern Ireland during the 80’s and early 90’s, surviving economic rises and falls, as well as the Northern Ireland troubles and was one of the first to join IPAF. Julie Houston Smyth is the current chairman of the IPAF Irish Council, has a seat on the IPAF UK and International Councils.

The company was also a founding member of the Access Link, and was the first in Ireland to achieve IPAF Rental + status in 2010. It has operated an IPAF Training Centre since 1999 and remains the only CAP Training Centre for engineers in the whole of Ireland.
