Genie Germany restructures

Genie has restructured its sales team in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, including appointing Lars Raagaard as sales director.

Raagard will be based near Copenhagen in Denmark, and will report directly to Jacco de Kluijver, vice president of sales and marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Raagaard was previously regional sales manager for the Nordic region and Baltic States retains responsibility for both the Danish and Icelandic market in his new role. Before that he was managing director for SGB Denmark from 2004 to 2006.

He began his career in 1984 with Hünnebeck Danmark as an engineer and was promoted six years later to product manager and sales manager in 1992. In 1995 he moved to a similar position at SGB Denmark and was promoted to sales director in 1999.

In other changes at Genie Germany, Markus Happ takes over as strategic accounts manager for Germany and Austria, while Uwe Wiedemeier is regional sales manager north Germany, and Christian Lohnhardt for southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland, all reporting to Raagaard.
