Sarens signs accord with XCMG

Belgian international crane rental and heavy lift company Sarens has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chinese crane and aerial lift manufacturer XCMG.

The deal - or collaboration as they put it - was agreed at Bauma last month and was signed by Sarens commercial director Jan Sarens and Jianzhong Sun, managing director of XCMG's lifting equipment division.

It is intended to “enable both parties to reduce costs and increase revenue through mutual support and the exchange of expertise.” Essentially it boils down to Sarens buying, renting and selling XCMG cranes across markets where it has a presence. XCMG also conducted a handing over ceremony for one of its 250 tonne XCA 250G7-1E seven axle All Terrains at the show.

A joint statement went on to say: "This alliance represents a significant step forward for both companies and underscores their shared commitment to high quality, efficient, and personalised services. By pooling resources and leveraging complementary advantages, XCMG and Sarens aim to deepen their customer relationships, enhance the quality of their respective operations, and foster innovation and growth across their business platforms."
