Dino appoints Zip-Up
Finnish based aerial lift manufacturer Dinolift has appointed Zip-Up Svenska as its new distributor in Sweden.
Zip-Up which is also the Snorkel and Instant-UpRight distributor for Sweden has taken the account over from Dino’s wholly owned subsidiary, Dino Lift AB. Per Sten, salesman for Dino Lift is transferring to Zip-Up and will continue to represent the Dino lift product line.
Lars-Petter Godenhielm, Dinolift’s managing director said: “We are very happy to have reached an agreement with Rickard Holmlund and Zip-Up as our new distributor. Sweden has always been, and will be, one of our most important markets. Our goal in the cooperation with Zip-Up is to continuously strengthen our position as the leading manufacturer of trailer-mounted lifts in the market but of course also to grow in our newest segment, the crawler-mounted lifts.”
“We want to ensure that the shift to Zip-Up goes as easy and smooth as possible, and we will give our full support to Rickard’s team in this process. To us the most important thing is that our Swedish customers still see Dino products as high quality equipment and that the Dino-service holds the same image.”
“To work with Dinolift is a dream come true!” added Holmlund. “Now we have one additional leading product line that we can deliver to the rental market in Sweden. Our team strengthened by Per Sten will have every possibility to continue on the same path which has brought Dino to where it is today.”
Dino will benefit from a stronger team at Zip-Up, particularly in the southern and western regions of Sweden through its product support base in Gothenburg.
Per Sten will now cover the eastern and northern parts of Sweden, while Mathias Wetterberg will look after customers in the south-west.
Vertikal Comment
This is a good move for Dino and Zip-Up, with Dino saving the cost of running its own business, while benefiting from a larger team working its account.
Zip-Up Svenska is dedicated to access equipment and has a strong following within the Swedish rental market. The company has a history of expanding during deep recessionary periods.
In the early 1990’s it acquired the assets of UpRight’s Swedish subsidiary Instant Sweden, which added the Gothenburg location.
The Dino addition should also take it up a step adding a very popular product line and additional sales power. A good move for both companies.
