Lavendon changes senior management team
Europe's largest access rental company Lavendon has made two changes to its senior management team.
Andy Wright has been appointed to the newly created position of chief executive, international operations, based in Dubai. In April of this year, Wright was given responsibility for Lavendon’s Middle East business, alongside his existing UK responsibilities.
Kevin Appleton, group chief executive said: “Having moved to the region in June with the goal of developing a plan to address the challenges and opportunities facing us, Andy has identified exciting potential for an expanded international business model using our existing infrastructure in the Middle East as the foundation. Having built the plan it makes a lot of sense for someone of Andy’s seniority and skill to see this through. The success of our international business is a key value driver for Lavendon.”

Lavendon has also announced the appointment of Mike Potts as the new chief executive of Lavendon Access Services (UK) to replace Wright.
For the past seven years Potts has been chief executive of Vendia, a private equity backed European supplier of food and beverage vending services.
“Mike comes with an excellent business pedigree and a strong track record of achievement,” said Appleton. “He absolutely fits the mould of top quality, people-oriented managers we look for. I am confident he will fit seamlessly into the organisation and will seek to build on the solid foundation that Andy has created in the UK business.”
