Another crane accident at Texas refinery
The second crane accident in less than nine months occurred yesterday at the Motiva refinery expansion project in Port Arthur Texas.
The crane was reported to have been lifting pipes when it tipped over backwards. No one was injured and the damage is said to be minimal.
The previous accident occurred in April 2010 when the boom of a 100 ton Rough Terrain crane came down killing a 41 year old rigger.

The refinery had one of the highest safety ratings in the country, and yet the crude oil expansion project has been reportedly dogged by crane incidents.
