MacGregor calls it a day
John MacGregor, mobile cranes area sales manager at Liebherr-Great Britain is retiring this year after 27 years with the company.
MacGregor originally joined the Liebherr GB tower crane division in 1963, and left the company twice during his career, finally returning as an area sales manager for mobile cranes 15 years ago, a position he has held ever since.

Speaking at his recent retirement party, managing director Richard Everist said: “John was an integral part of our successful growth period during the past decade and greatly contributed to the establishment of Liebherr as a market leader in the mobile cranes sector. He is a well-known and respected figure in the industry and we wish him health and happiness in his retirement”.
MacGregor’s role has been filled by Steve Elliott who has been promoted to the position after 10 years in a sales support role to the mobile crane division at Liebherr’s UK headquarters in Biggleswade.
