New director for EnCore Americas

Manitowoc appointed Gilberto Ferreira as director of EnCore, the company’s remanufacturing programme for the Americas. In his new role he will report to Scott Keckler, vice president of Manitowoc Crane Care -Americas.

Ferreira will oversee all EnCore activities in the Americas, including the EnCore Partners program and operations in Bauxite, Arkansas. The new programme will work with dealers that pass rigorous capabilities assessments to provide crane remanufacturing and major repair services.

EnCore partners will receive special commercial, technical and retail financing support from Manitowoc Crane Care and Manitowoc Finance to attract remanufacturing and major repair business.

Gilberto Ferreira

Ferreira joined Manitowoc in 1997 and has been based in Sao Paulo, Brazil since 2007. He was most recently director of Manitowoc Crane Care in Latin America. Prior to that, he was the director of Manitowoc Crane Care Iberica.

Keckler said: “As we take steps to expand our crane and component remanufacturing program, we need experience leadership to direct the developments. Gilberto brings a wealth of experience in customer support. His strong leadership skills will be an asset to the growing EnCore programme.”
