Friesen takes new job

Doug Friesen will move from his current job as managing director of Terex Demag in Zweibrücken, to take up the new role of senior vice president, Terex business systems.

He will transition to his new role over the next several months and report directly to group chief executive Ron DeFeo,

Friesen joined Terex in 2005 as general manager of Terex Cranes North America. In 2008 he led the team that received a Chairman’s Excellence Award in recognition of the outstanding financial performance of the Cranes facility in Waverly, Iowa.

He moved to his current role in 2008. Prior to joining Terex, he worked with General Motors and Toyota, and has extensive training and experience in implementing lean business processes.

Terex says that a new managing director of Terex Demag will be identified in the coming months.
