Fatal fall from height
A subcontractor working for Orange telecom fell to his death yesterday while working on the roof of Sun Alliance House, London Road, Bromley, UK yesterday.
Few details are available at this time, but the man, 54, does not appear to have been using any appropriate access equipment to carry out maintenance work and was around 15 metres up. He was found by a woman working in a nearby building.
Health and Safety Executive officials are treating the incident as an accidental death and are investigating.
A spokesperson for Orange is reported to have said: "We are aware of the sad news involving a third party sub-contractor who was carrying out work on behalf of Orange in Bromley yesterday and would like to offer our condolences to the individual's family at this time."
We are still trying to find out how this occured and will update this article when we learn more.
