PG goes CTE
UK based P G Platforms of Rochester in Kent, has selected the CTE Zed 21J truck mounted lift to top its 3.5 tonne fleet.
P G Platforms, which runs a fleet of van mounted lifts, says that it conducted exhaustive trials with a number of manufacturers before deciding upon the ZED21.
Factors that appealed for the work that the company’s customers do included: 360 degree continuous slew, 200kgs unrestricted platform capacity, up and over reach with zero tailswing and its ability to do straight vertical line work for jobs such as window and fascia cleaning. The articulated jib was, it says, a bonus for difficult to reach requirements.

PG Platforms new CTE Zed 21J at work in London
PG managing director, Phil Cutting said: “the unit is great for London work. The Nissan Cabstar is a compact, easy to drive unit, with a tight turning circle, so very adaptable for city working. The ZED21J boom, offers 10 metres of outreach with a full 200kg basket capacity, which is fantastic for a 3.5t GVW chassis. The unit seems very reliable and easy to use, and well compliments our other booms. We find it a real bonus when sometimes we need the outreach of our Bronto, but we do not have the space to put it”.”
