First Multitel MX27EX in UK

Winners Access has become the first UK company to take delivery of the new 27 metre Multitel MX270EX truck mounted lift.

The new model which was launched at SAIE last October is the latest variant of the MX 270 which first appeared in 2007. The new model has H-frame outriggers at the rear and the standard in-line outriggers at the front with the possibility to use the platform with all four outriggers set within the overall width of the machine.

In this ‘narrow’ mode the platform still offers a full 11 metres of working outreach with 225 kg platform capacity. This extends to 13.3 metres when the rear outriggers are extended.

The transit width of the new lift when mounted on the Mitsubishi Canter 7C18 truck narrower than most 3.5 ton lifts with A-frame outriggers.

Melvyn Else, managing director of Access Industries, Multitel's distributor in the UK said: “This new model is not only the slimmest of all the 25 to 28 metre models available on the market but it also beats most of the 18 to 20 metre units as well”.

The new unit joins a Multitel MX225 that Winner purchased towards the end of 2010. “We have found the geometry of the Multitel MX platforms with their up and over capabilities to be extremely useful on a wide range of different jobs” said Gary Winn, managing director of Winners Access. “Customers also like the smoothness and ease of operation”.
