Some people just don’t get it

Some photos taken in Scotland yesterday show two men on a warehouse roof fitting a new chimney flue.

The two do not appear to have taken any precautions to stop them falling off of or through the roof – one of the most common accidents in the UK is the lightweight skylight panels giving way and people falling through to their death.
If you look at the second photo you will see that a yard backing on to the site was full of boom lifts. The owner of the rental company hearing about the two’s antics called round to warn them of the risks. He said:

They run the risk of falling over the side and possibly breaking through the roof itself

“These two were working on the roof without any edge protection, harness or lanyard and no footing to their ladder etc..”

“As you can see my yard is directly behind the building being extended, I approached these guys to explain the error of their ways, however they were oblivious and even the offer of a "FREE MACHINE" couldn't convince them to change their approach.......Rest assured I am taking this matter further and raising the matter with their employer.”

Note the powered access yard to the rear, even an offer of free use did not phase them

Some people just don’t see danger problem is they can then be a danger to others. Definitely a Death Wish, if only for their attitude.
