New Genie RT scissors at ARA

Genie is launching its new compact Rough Terrain scissor lift range at the Rental Show which opens at the ARA in Las Vegas today.

The three new models are 69 inch/1,760mm wide - compared to the 68 inch models it replaces. The company says that the three new models the GS 2669 RT, GS 3369 RT and GS 4069 RT are significantly redesigned versions of 68 series with increased capacity and improved performance.

Genie is launching a new series of 69 inch (1,760mm) wide rough terrain scissor lifts at The Rental Show in Las Vegas.

The platform area is 13 percent larger while platform capacities are around 20 percent higher - 680kg on the 26ft, 450kg on the 33ft and 360kg on the 40ft.
All units can be driven at full height.

The front active-oscillating axle is standard while the engine delivers 30 percent more power and are matched to more powerful and efficient piston drive motors to give more torque to the rear wheels. The new scissors will be available in the second quarter of 2011, and in CE markets in the third quarter.

Jeff Weido, senior product manager said: “In the competitive rental industry, our customers need equipment that will be in high demand by jobsite personnel for uses such as commercial construction and infrastructure improvements.”
