HSS goes Nano

HSS Hire, one of the UK’s largest general rental companies has added Power Towers’ Nano SP self-propelled low level platforms to its fleet.

The 8ft platform height Nano SP can drive at full height, is rated for indoor and outdoor use, has a roll out deck extension and yet weighs less than 500kgs, allowing it to be transported on standard 500kg trailers.

The ‘significant’ order – the precise number is a closely guarded secret at the moment, is in addition to a large order from HSS for more of the original Power Towers.

Ian Webber of HSS said: “We’ve added the Nano SP to our range to meet customer demand. Our customers wanted more options for easy low level access and we found that the SP offered them a great solution. We have been hiring it for a while through our OneCall service and have had a great response so we’re now pleased to have made it a permanent addition to our fleet for 2011 to support our other access and powered access products”.

Peter Ellis, national account manager for Power Towers added:” Having spent some time supporting HSS through its rigorous assessment process we are pleased that the Nano SP is now part of its range. We are confident that it will be as successful in the fleet as the Power Tower and look forward to continuing and developing our successful working relationship.”
