Record start for Ruthmann
German truck mounted lift manufacturer has reported a record start to 2011, in terms of order intake, and says that it finished 2010 with a strong upward trend and total revenues of €50 million.
Managing director, Rolf Kulawik said: “We are very satisfied with the level of success we have achieved. These latest results can mostly be attributed to the many orders we received at Bauma 2010 and to our core German market. We clearly hit a home run in the 3.5 tonne sector with our TB 270 and TBR 200 models. These figures also reflect the degree of trust and confidence that our customers have placed in us.”
“Our municipality business picked up unexpectedly and our export market also improved substantially towards the end of the year, matching that of former times. We were also very encouraged by the significant gains made in our service division.”
The company says that it will introduce the 33 metre Steiger T330 on a 7.5 tonne chassis at CeMAT in Hannover, this May and that it intends to increase its investment in both human resources and technology at its Gescher, location during 2011.
