Ramirent takes rest of OTS

Finnish based international rental company Ramirent has acquired the 40 percent holding in Slovakian based OTS Bratislava that it did not already own.

Ramirent entered the Slovak in 2008 market by acquiring a 60 percent holding in the Bratislava based equipment rental company, with an option to acquire the balance at a later date.

At the time of the original acquisition, OTS’ main activities included the rent, repair and sale of construction equipment. Today the company is a pure equipment rental company operating from a national network of 38 outlets and a clear market leader.

Rami’s senior vice president of Europe Central Tomasz Walawender said: “During the past three years we have renewed the entire equipment fleet and added new product groups, so that it is today a full product range rental company.”

“In April 2011, the company name will change to Ramirent spol.s.r.o. We are very happy that the former owners and current management team is continuing to lead the Ramirent organisations in both Slovakia and Czech Republic.”
