Boehler moves up at Skyjack

Canadian based aerial lift and telehandler manufacturer Skyjack, has promoted Brad Boehler to the position of vice president of sales & marketing and engineering.

Dave Stewart moves from his current role as vice president sales and marketing to head up major accounts in North America as part of the company’s strategy to step up its support and coverage of the major US rental companies that are making up the majority of the recent growth in the aerial lift market.

Boehler was previously director of product safety for Skyjack before taking over the engineering role.

The two also confirmed that Skyjack’s owner – Linamar was in no hurry to appoint a new president following the departure of Ken Myers last month.

Vertikal Comment

Aside from the recent presidential changes, Skyjack is not renowned for making regular changes in its senior management team. This continuity is what has helped it build a reputation for being easy to deal with.

Both Stewart and Boehler are quality individuals who are well respected in the industry as a whole. The adjustment in their new roles will allow both to adjust their focus, while adding impetus to the company’s sales efforts towards the largest national rental companies.

Will this change play a part in finding an internal candidate for the role of president sometime in the future? Both Boehler and Stewart thought that this was highly unlikely and not at all on the agenda.
