Higher Access opens second depot

Manchester, UK-based spider platform specialists Higher Access has opened a second depot in Watlington, Oxford. The new deport aims to serve London and the South East whilst also being able to service the South coast and South West of England.

The depot will be running the company’s full range of tracked access platforms from Teupen, CTE, Omme and Skako Lift as well as offering IPAF training courses.

To support the expansion Higher Access has also placed a substantial order with CTE with the first new spider machines due in at the end of this month.
“For a number of years now we’ve successfully been developing business in the South of England which up until now has been serviced from our Northern depot,” said Peter Ashburner, Higher Access operations director.
“The volume of work that we’ve generated has necessitated the need for us to offer this regional depot providing timely deliveries, faster engineer response times and considerably reduced delivery and collection charges for our existing and potential customers. The next stage of our planned expansion will be to open a depot in Scotland and ultimately operate from three to four depots providing truly Nationwide coverage”.
