Haulotte up 51%

Haulotte has reported a 50.7 percent increase in first quarter revenues to the end of March, achieving sales of €72.1 million compared with €47.8 million for the same period last year.

Equipment sales were up 75.5 percent representing 67 percent of total revenue. Service activities and rental business increased by 17.6 percent and 14.8 percent respectively.

Sales in Europe were up 52 percent in a market that is growing faster in countries of Northern Europe. Asia increased jumped 92 percent, thanks largely to the Australian market, while Latin America, driven by the Brazilian market, was up 76 percent and North America by 16 percent.

Haulotte says that if the second and subsequent quarters relate to the first it will certainly break-even this year.
