New Telescopic Handler Association

The Australian based Elevating Work Platform Association (EWPA) is supporting the launch of a new association for the telehandler industry.

The EWPA added a Telescopic Handler Committee some years ago in the absence of a dedicated association to represent telehandler owners, users and manufacturers in Australia. As the work load and interest has grown it is now implementing its original plan to set up a standalone – albeit affiliated – association when interest and workload justified it.

So in essence the next EWPA Telescopic Handler Committee meeting will be the founding and first general meeting for the Telescopic Handler Association of Australia (THA).

The THA has been registered as an incorporated “not for profit” industry association and the next step is to adopt a constitution and structure, hold an AGM and appoint office bearers. It will be a national association with sub committees as required in order to keep costs and administration to a minimum.

The EWPA will continue to fund the THA in the short term and has invited all interested EWPA members and guests to attend the inaugural meeting at 14:00 hours on 26th July 2011 at Parkroyal, 30 Phillip Street, Parramatta NSW 2150.

The formal launch of the Telescopic Handlers Association with a board and office bearers will then be held at a future Annual General Meeting later this year.
