Injured man rescued from Jib tip
An injured tower crane rigger was rescued from the jib tip of a 50 metre high tower crane in Washington DC today.

The injured man receives treatment 50 metres in the air
We understand that the man was working on the trolley of the big Comansa flat top crane when he became trapped in the hoist or trolley cable causing serious injuries to his legs, trapping him at the end of the jib.
The emergency services were called and after treating him managed to lower him to the ground in a Stokes stretcher. You can watch the rescue on video
