Four injured in UK Scaffold collapse
Four men were injured earlier today when a large façade scaffold/platform and cover collapsed on a school construction site in Telford, Shropshire.
The incident, which happened at the Abraham Darby Academy, Madeley, involved five people, one of whom only had minor injuries. One man in his 40s was assumed to have serious spinal injuries and was airlifted to a Birmingham hospital.

The scene shortly after the collapse
Three others were taken to a local hospital, one in his 50s had leg and chest injuries, and two men in their 20s, one with abdominal injuries, the other with back and pelvic injuries.
The main contractor on the site is Kier and some, if not all those injured were employees. We do not know who supplied the cover and scaffold.
