Haulotte revenues jump 30 percent
Pinguely Haulotte the leading European producer of self-propelled aerial lifts has issued its preliminary trading statement for 2004, reporting that total revenues rose by 30 percent to €286 million.
Like for Like revenues, in other words eliminating the Lev and UK platform acquisitions, increased by 15 percent to €254 million. This revenue includes both new and used sales as well as Telehandlers. Haulotte declines to break down its numbers by product line.
Haulotte has also stated that net profits will be at least five percent in spite of the handicap of rising raw material costs and a weak dollar which makes it more difficult to compete in the US market and gives the large American producers a pricing advantage in Europe.
The French, home market represented 19 percent of sales, and all but 10 percent of exports remained in Europe, the exports outside of the European region are split roughly evenly between North America and the Far East/Australasia. Top markets in 2004 include the UK and Germany.
Revenues in 2004 are expecte to rise by a further 15 to 20 percent.
A full report on the results will come in March when the audited results are announced.
