First glimpse of new Bronto

We have obtained the first photographs of the new 50 metre Bronto S 50 XDTJ truck mounted lift as it leaves the company’s production facility and heads to Maastricht for Apex next week.

The first unit has been sold to Turku based rental company Jalo & Jalo and so will be returning to Finland after the show.

The new 50 metre Bronto S 50 XDTJ

As we reported back in June, the new lift boasts a three section telescopic articulated jib giving an up and over outreach of 16 metres at a height of around 33 metres. Maximum capacity is 600kg, while maximum outreach is 35 metres with 120kg.

The new lift is mounted on a three axle, 26 tonne 6x4 MAN TGS 26.400 truck and is said to have all the characteristics of the XDT platform family. Various platform options will be available including air/water lines, a 300kg capacity hoist and intercom system.

The unit slots between the existing 46 metre S46 XDT and the 53 metre S53 XDT - but offers performance (outreach and basket capacity) similar to the larger 53 metre platform. to read more about the new lift and see our original report click here
