Altrex look to UK

Among the exhibitors at this weeks Hire show were representatives from Altrex the largest producer of alloy scaffold towers in Holland, one of Europe’s largest markets for aluminium scaffold products.

Frederick Kuijer, the international sales director at Altrex told Vertikal.Net that the company was keen to enter the UK market through a single national distributor for its aluminium tower products. Which also include light alloy staging boards. One unusual product that the company had on display was an optional ultra light platform board for its towers. Altrex claims that the special honeycombed design of the board provides an extremely strong structural board at a fraction of the weight of a normal plywood board.

Another company looking for UK distributors for its alloy tower range was Svelt of Italy, although not exhibiting at this years Hire show, Elena Gamba, export sales manager of the Italian ladder and tower producer was touring the show speaking with potential candidates.
