Cela to launch D24
Italian aerial lift manufacturer Cela will launch a 24 metre version of its innovative D21 at Apex next week.
The new model the D24 is fitted to a Nissan short – 2.9 metre – wheelbase 3.5 tonne truck and like the D21 the highest point on the stowed machine is the truck cab.

The Cela demonstrates its below ground capability
The 24 obtains its extra height by using a three section top boom compared to the two sections of the 21. It also retains the end mounted platform a feature that appeals to many users, and achieves 11 metres of working outreach. Slew is 360 degree continuous.
Up and over reach is the same as the 21 at 14 metres as is platform capacity at 200kg. The trade of is likely to be a slightly wider outrigger spread, but like the 21 the front jacks always remain inboard while the rear need to be extended to close to three metres for maximum outreach

The D24 offers an extra 1.5 metres of outreach
Overall length is 6.89 metres with platform in the working position, if needed it can be removed for road travel reducing the overall length to less than six metres.

The dimensions are similar to the D21 although the 24 is longer
