Genie extends Trax concept to 40 and 45ft telescopics

Genie has launched four point Trax steered crawler models of its S-40 and S-45 telescopic boom lifts.

The 40 ft S-40Trax weighs 6,564 kg, while the 46ft S-45 Trax weighs 7,927 kg. The rubber tracked wheel units offer traditional front wheel steering with a 30 degree steer angle.

The new Genie S-45 Trax

By driving and steering like a wheeled machine, each triangular shaped track can swivel 22 degrees up and down to easily follow undulating terrain and sharp changes in slope such as the break-over angle found on many transport trailers. Maximum drive speed is 2.5 mph.
