The Vespa hoist

A UK reader sent us a video of a very ingenious use of a scooter for lifting work on a building site.

Saving effort and time when lifting loads or working at height is what we are all about, although safety is as important of course.

In many parts of the world the provision of the latest sophisticated equipment is often not an option. While it is without doubt a questionable solution, we liked the simple hoist arrangement devised by the crew in this video – sadly we are not sure where it is. Click here to go directly to the video

Although given that the bike is an LML – an Indian built Vespa – and it appears to have a old Kerala number plate, we are assuming that it is somewhere on the sub-continent. No matter it will bring a smile to your face.
