Formula Manitou
Telehandler and powered access manufacturer Manitou has become an official sponsor of Formula 1 in South Asia.
At the recent Singapore Grand Prix Manitou provided a large range of equipment to support the event, including preparing the circuit, the trade stands and rescuing cars from the track.
In total the company supplied 20 telehandlers to remove vehicles from the track during the race itself, they ranged from the compact six metre MT 625, to the MT 732, MT 1235, MT 1440 and topped out by the 18 metre MT 1840.
Manitou also supplied a number of aerial lifts including 53ft 180ATJ articulated boom lifts and 19ft 78 XE scissor lifts to help assemble the stands built alongside the circuit.

The Manitou telehandler team in Singapore
The Formula 1 organisers have requested the same range of equipment to support the Indian Grand Prix to be held in New Delhi on 28th, 29th and 30th October.

A unit in action in Singapore
Manitou Asia, based in Singapore, supplied the machines for that event, while Manitou’s new subsidiary Manitou South Asia, based in New Delhi, will be responsible for doing the same for the Indian Grand Prix.
