Haulotte up 27%
Haulotte has published its third quarter revenues which show a 27 percent year to date improvement at €224.7 million.
New machine sales performed better still rising 30 percent to €170 million, while parts and service revenues climbed 19 percent to €23.2 million and rental revenues 18 percent to €31.5 million.
Geographically sales were up in all regions but particularly Asia Pacific where sales were up 53 percent thanks to a strong performance in Australia and South America which climbed 40 percent.
Growth in the third quarter was not quite as lively as in the first half with total revenues up 21 percent to €76.7 million.
Haulotte says that it expects activity to remain strong until the end of 2011, driven by rental fleet renewals in developed markets and on-going upward trend in emerging countries. It adds that while this ought to continue into 2012 it is more cautious due to the uncertain economic outlook which is making it difficult to forecast more than three to four months out.
Vertikal Comment
A solid performance from Haulotte with no surprises and which will most likely be mirrored by its principal competitors when they report later this month. It should also be remembered that the growth percentages are beginning to fall now due to comparison with a strong second half 2010, when the recovery was already well underway.
