HSS wins sole supplier contract

UK based HSS Hire has been appointed as exclusive equipment rental provider to Simons group in a deal worth around £5 million over three years. The contract has an option for a further two years.

HSS will supply and manage all site establishment, accommodation and security requirements as well as the equipment for every Simons Group project nationwide. They will also provide health and safety training.

Simons calls itself a “property solutions business”, essentially it is a property developer which also provides design and construction services to a wide range of clients, ranging from complex new-build to fit outs, refurbishment and property maintenance.

HSS chief executive Chris Davies said: “The best hire experience comes from understanding your customer and delivering what they need whilst helping them to drive cost-efficiencies and safety. It’s about being a partner not just a supplier and that’s what we’re all about at HSS. It was an intensive six month tender but we demonstrated that we are best placed to fulfil this contract so I’m thrilled that Simons Group has chosen to work with us. There is also great congruence between the things our two organisations most value so I’m sure it will be a fantastic partnership.”
