Manitou merges in North America

Manitou, the telehandler and compact equipment manufacturer has merged the sales, service, parts and marketing operations of Manitou Forklifts Canada with that of Manitou Americas in the USA.

The aim of the change is to provide customers with a single, larger combined sales and product support team, responsible for Manitou products throughout North America.

Manitou says the new operation with provide dealers and customers with a single sales call centre for North America, improved parts availability from a larger North American warehouse and faster machine delivery, thanks to a single larger North American inventory.

Under the new structure, two dedicated field sales and service teams will support Eastern and Western Canada with dedicated dealer development and assistance.
Manitou’s Canadian dealer network has over 60 locations and the company says that the aim of the merger is to provide expanded support to help dealers and customers grow their businesses.
