Nancy Quick a well known and respected compliance assistance specialist at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in Illinois has retired after 30 years.
Based at the OSHA office in Aurora, to the west of Chicago, she was responsible for 17 counties of Northwest Illinois and tasked with developing partnerships with employers, trade groups, schools, and labour organisations, to improve awareness of and compliance with OSHA regulations.

The crane training and safety team at Local 150 of the International Union of Operating Engineers alerted us to her retirement and said: “We have lost a colleague and valuable asset to the safety family here in the United States. Nancy Quick of OSHA has been of great assistance to us and our fellow safety professionals. She has assisted in keeping our members, our contractors, and all those who work with us, whatever their capacity, safe and informed for over thirty years (obviously joining OSHA at 10 years old).”
“Always cooperative, always smiling, a tireless professional and a true example of OSHA professionalism and cooperation at its best. She will be greatly missed. All here wish her a long and enjoyable, and certainly well deserved, retirement!”
