Dieci appoints Leach Lewis

Italian based telehandler manufacturer Dieci has appointed Leach Lewis Heavy Plant as its distributor for the East Midlands region of England.

The company will sell, service and stock replacement parts for Dieci’s fixed frame and 360 degree telehandler range and will assume responsibility for all service and warranty work on existing Dieci machines in the region.

The East Midland dealership will be based at Leach Lewis’ Whittlesey depot near Peterborough and will cover the counties of Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Bedfordshire.

Philip Lawday, managing director of Dieci Telehandlers, the manufacturer’s UK subsidiary, said: “We’re delighted with the new appointment and are sure that with their long standing reputation in the industry they will provide the experience necessary to meet the needs of our customers.”

Sean Donovan, commercial sales manager for Leach Lewis Heavy Plant added: “We have been very impressed with the Dieci product during our evaluation and with the three year warranty as standard and the eight week availability from the factory – supporting the local inventory. We will have a number of demonstration machines available, together with a full range of finance options through our sister company, Leach Lewis Capital.”

The Dieci telehandler line ranges from the compact 2.5 tonne six metre Apollo through to the 21 tonne heavy duty Hercules, as well as a full range of 360 degree models.

Leach Lewis Heavy already distributes Doosan telehandlers, however the company told Vertikal.net that the only overlap between Doosan and Dieci are the four heavy duty models, (which are in fact manufactured by Dieci), and that both Dieci and Doosan are perfectly happy with the arrangement, with the choice coming down purely to customer preference.

Sister company Leach Lewis Plant also handles Manitou telehandlers from its four locations in Maidstone, Waltham Cross, Oxford and Birmingham.
