Another new crane from JMG
Italian pick & carry crane manufacturer JMG has launched a new six tonne battery powered crane.
The new model, the MC60 comes just a few months after the company launched the 11 tonne MC110 model and is, it says, just one more step towards completing a range of battery electric cranes that extends from two to 60 tonnes.
The MC60 can handle its 6,000kg maximum capacity at a distance of a half a metre in front of the crane’s front bumper. It boasts a four section full power telescopic boom with provides an 8.8 metre lift height and up to 5.5 metres of horizontal outreach.

The crane is highly compact, being 3.2 metres long, 1.65 metres wide and just 1.86 metres overall height. The Gross Vehicle Weight is 6,500kg. The drive system is taken from its larger brother the 7.5 tonne MC75, with twin front drive motors and a full 90 degree crank angle steering axle at the rear for a turning radius of just 2.8 metres.

As with the other cranes in the JMG line, there are a large number of accessories, including: a hydraulic winch, self-levelling forks, a man basket and boom extensions of various lengths and capacity.
The first two units, equipped with winches and non-marking tyres have already been delivered to Elwiko, JMG’s distributor in Poland.
