Volvo acquires Blue Eagle

US based Volvo Rents has acquired Blue Eagle Equipment of Columbia South Carolina, a three location rental company that has a strong presence in the telehandler and aerial lift market – Volvo’s second such acquisition in a month

Blue Eagle was founded in 2004 by Robert Griffin and has locations in Greenville and Spartanburg, South Carolina, in addition to its Columbia headquarters. Griffin will remain with the business as general manager as will all 19 Blue Eagle employees.

Blue Eagle's fleet includes Genie booms and scissors and JLG booms and telehandlers


Blue Eagle runs an extensive fleet of Genie booms, scissor lifts and AWP, along with some JLG aerial lifts, while its telehandler fleet is largely JLG and Lull. The addition of the Blue Eagle depots takes the number of Volvo rental stores in South Carolina to four.
