CAT launches new US telehandler
Caterpillar has launched the TL1255C a new 12,000lb(5.5 tonne)/155ft (17m) telehandler for the North American market. Maximum forward reach is 42ft (13 metres) and the unit weighs 35,800lbs/ 16.3 tonnes.
The new high boom pivot model features an improved synchronised telescopic boom, a new side mounted power unit that meets 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emission regulations and a new CAT power-shift transmission with four forward and three reverse gears, with clutch modulation as standard, resulting in a smoother gear change and increased operator comfort.

The CAT TL1255C telehandler
The company says that the CAT engined series C telehandler can accommodate B20 biofuel, and offers smoother quieter operation, a longer life and improved fuel consumption, all of which is aimed at lowering operating costs.
The cab has also been improved and includes a full-suspension seat with a pilot-operated, single lever joystick controller, which combines boom crowd and lift functions with an adjustable, two-position button for fork or attachment tilt and improved visibility
A high visibility manual IT coupler comes as standard, with the option of a hydraulic quick coupler to allow work tool changes without leaving the cab.
