Lack of a harness causes injury
A man was seriously injured yesterday after he fell around 12 to 14 metres from a truck mounted aerial lift in Augusta township, near Detroit, Michigan.
Reports are vague at the moment, but suggest that a beam fell onto the lift, which was working at a school, causing the boom to flex and catapult the man out of the platform. He was airlifted to hospital where he was in critical condition last night.
From everything was have heard, it would seem that this is another case where a harness and short lanyard might just have prevented an injury?
We will update this when further informatioin is available.
