David White joins MEC

David White, formerly Vice President Engineering at UpRight Inc, has joined the team at MEC as head of engineering.

EPW - Equipment Parts Wholesale, purchased the remaining parts, designs and fixtures for the MEC scissor lift range from Mayville in 2002, following Mayville's earlier decision to exit the aerial lift market. The main focus of the purchase was the replacement parts business for the large population of Mec scissor lifts on the market. But then EPW's owners decided to relaunch the brand as the aerial lift market began to recover and Mec dealers and customers searched for a replacement. A separate company was formed California Manufacturing & Engineering, trading as MEC. In the past year or so it has been developing and refining the original Mayville designs, adding high quality components and features, while shrinking some of the dimensions.

The addition of David White to the team is intended to step up this process. MEC currently offer three ranges of production scissors, a 15/19 Micro scissor, a 20/26 narrow mini and a 20/26/32 wide mini range of scissors.
