Following a detailed examination by Hy-Acc, the machines were completely stripped with all worn components replaced, all fabrications shot blasted and painted then re-assembled, rewired, re-hosed and remounted onto the latest version of the same Leyland Daf 45 chassis.
A technical file relating to the remounting was produced by Hy-Acc Services and all comparative type approval testing carried out on completion of the first unit. All new aluminium lockers and decking were manufactured and fitted by Hy-Acc providing a complete bodybuilders package for the customer.
Brett Ellis and Clark Williams of TGM said: “The decision to refurbish and remount the fleet was a simple one both financially and practically as the Bizzocchi platform still meet our working requirements perfectly. We have also secured a preferential warranty deal for the new trucks, giving us the confidence going forward regarding the running costs of the fleet.”
