Sany adds New England dealer

Sany America has announced a new distribution agreement with DC Bates Equipment to expand its coverage of the New England’s bridge, power and general contracting sectors.

Based in Hopedale, Massachusetts, DC Bates was founded in 1985 and currently employs 30 at its 2,300 square metre (25,000 sq ft) facility. The company previously focused on loader cranes, boom trucks and aerial lift equipment for the railroad, utilities and precast concrete markets and is a Palfinger and Manitex dealer. The new partnership will add a range of Sany Rough Terrain and crawler cranes, with sales aimed at both contractors and rental companies.

Kirk Erlinger, director of dealer development at Sany America said: “We are honored that DC Bates chose Sany to grow their line of hoisting machinery. Coupled with its success in the material lifting market, our crawler and rough terrain cranes will help them become a one-stop shop for hoisting solutions.”

Don Bates, owner of DC Bates, added: “When we began looking to enter the market for larger cranes, Sany demonstrated its commitment to serving customers in the US. Its facility in Georgia lets you know they’re here to stay and we are looking forward to a long relationship distributing its products.”
