The new Bronto features a six section main boom plus two section telescopic articulating jib, which is capable of an up and over reach of almost nine metres at a height of around 51 metres and has a maximum outreach of 36 metres.
Mounted on a 33 tonne 8x4 MAN chassis it has an overall length of 12 metres and features a steered rear axle to improve its turning circle.

Andy Ainsworth of AA Access said: “We have a long standing history with Bronto that dates back to the early 1990’s. I was involved with one of the first 70 metre Bronto’s back in 1992, a time when the projected sales in European for a machine of this size were around two or three! More recently I have got into the habit of buying a new Bronto each year!"
The unit will also be equipped with the standard 700kg capacity platform as well as the optional 360 degree camera cage, which includes a removable seat and a hands-free safety brake. Ainsworth says he originally instigated the idea of the camera cage back in 2003 and then in 2005 collaborated with Bronto to design and developing it for use on a truck mounted lift.

“I had had the idea of a camera cage for many years, unfortunately truck mounted lifts at the time were not capable of lifting sufficient weight. However when Bronto released its new generation of XDT machines with significantly higher platform capacities I seized the opportunity.”
