New owner for Lift-A-Loft

US based specialist aerial lift manufacturer Lift-A-Loft has been acquired by investor Todd Hunt.

The company which celebrates 60 years in business this year, is based in Muncie, Indiana, with a second location in Chicago and produces specialist and custom made mast booms and scissor lifts, largely for industrial and aviation applications.

Hunt has a background in manufacturing and marketing and chief operating officer of Avis Industrial Corporation, the owner of Canadian based Sellick rough terrain fork trucks and nine other industrial businesses. He is described in the company's release as “the new principal owner” of Lift-A-Loft.

“The company is off to a good start for 2012 and we expect to make significant strides to increase sales and profit levels in the coming years. You will definitely see some exciting new developments from Lift-A-Loft,” said Hunt.
