Crane boom cuts power
A Crane boom came down onto power lines yesterday in the city of Surgut, in Siberia cutting power to over half of the population.
The lattice crane, erected with main boom and short fixed jib was working on a site owned by Sibregionstroy construction. The crane boom was removed and power lines reinstated after several hours, but not before considerable disruption, which closed businesses and cut part of the city off for most of the working day.
